The Regional Fit for School Program will be entering its second phase, commencing in December 2015 until November 2018. While the activities during the 1st program phase (2011-2015) focused on the development of context-adapted implementation models and templates for daily group hygiene activities in schools, technical assistance in the 2nd phase will support government-led scale-up of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in schools in the respective partner countries.
As part of the preparations, a Steering Committee Meeting was held together with the main regional partner SEAMEO INNOTECH to align the goals and objectives of the second program phase with those of the respective partners. Representatives from partner ministries in Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, the Philippines, and the SEAMEO Secretariat attended the meeting held in Quezon City last 10 November 2015.
