fit for school in armm: overview
From 2011 to 2017, GIZ provided technical assistance to the Department of Education in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DepEd ARMM) to improve WinS. This effort was part of the the Australian Embassy’s Basic Education Assistance to Muslim Mindanao (BEAM ARMM) programme in which GIZ was co-financed by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of the Government of Australia and BMZ to implement component 2 of the BEAM ARMM program. GIZ’s technical assistance in ARMM focused on institutionalizing daily hygiene activities in schools, rehabilitation of WASH facilities, good governance, WinS monitoring and research on school feeding.
